Become a volunteer hut warden at Welcome Flat in Westland Tai Poutini National Park. You'll greet visitors, check bookings, provide weather forecasts, clean the hut and toilets, and do light track maintenance.

Minimum two weeks, maximum one month for first-timers. About four hours of duties per day. Must be 20 or older with backcountry tramping experience.

The hut sits beside natural hot pools in a stunning alpine valley. A once-in-a-lifetime volunteer experience.
