Refugee Support Volunteer — Blenheim

Help newly arrived former refugees settle into life in Blenheim. Tasks include airport pickups, helping set up homes, accompanying families to appointments, and providing friendship and practical support.

No special skills required — just warmth, patience, and reliability. Red Cross provides training on cultural awareness and working with refugee communities.

This is a flexible, ongoing role. Most volunteers spend 2-4 hours per week with a family during their first year in New Zealand.
