Food Rescue Warehouse Volunteer – Auckland

KiwiHarvest

Location

Auckland

Highbrook, East Tāmaki, Auckland

When

Ongoing

KiwiHarvest rescues good food that would otherwise go to landfill and gets it to social service agencies around Auckland. Warehouse volunteers help pack, sort and stack rescued food, Tuesday to Friday, 9.30am to 12.30pm – it's physical work, so you'll need to be comfortable lifting boxes up to 15kg.

For a fuller experience, Van Assistants join drivers on collection and delivery runs, Monday to Friday, usually 7.30am to 3pm, getting a behind-the-scenes look at how food rescue works.

Corporate groups of up to eight people can also book a team volunteering session at the Highbrook branch. Wear comfortable clothes and covered shoes, and email the volunteer team to book a shift.
