Volunteer as a hut warden in the Tararua Ranges over summer weekends. You'll welcome trampers, help maintain the hut, record visitor numbers, and provide track and weather information.
This role suits experienced trampers who are comfortable in backcountry huts. You'll need your own gear and the fitness to get to the hut.
A fantastic way to give back to the conservation estate and share your love of the outdoors. Training and a hut warden handbook provided.
