Conservation Volunteer – Otago

DOC runs a range of conservation projects across Otago that rely on volunteers, from growing native plants and joining tree-planting working bees in the Whakatipu Basin, to predator trapping and bird monitoring around Lake Whakatipu, to habitat restoration on Quarantine Island/Kamau Taurua in Otago Harbour.

Activities suit a range of fitness levels and time commitments, whether you can spare a morning or want to get involved more regularly.
