Volunteer as a kaiawhina (assisting volunteer) at Community Law Wellington & Hutt Valley. You'll talk to clients one-on-one, gather facts, take notes in client meetings, relay information to the supervising lawyer, and contribute to legal research.

Open to law students who have completed their compulsory 200-level papers. Rostered fortnightly for 2-hour shifts. Training and supervision provided.

Community Law Centres operate in 24 locations across Aotearoa with over 120 outreach points. An invaluable way to gain practical legal experience while helping people who can't afford a lawyer.
