When

Ongoing

Accompany a person who is blind, deafblind, or has low vision to appointments, social programmes, and community activities. You'll be their eyes — describing surroundings, navigating obstacles, and providing safe, confident guidance.

Training takes 2.5 hours and covers guiding techniques, eye conditions, disability language, and communication. Ongoing support from your local Blind Low Vision NZ coordinator.

Flexible commitment — weekly, fortnightly, or as suits you. Available nationwide from Cape Reinga to Bluff.
