Be matched one-on-one with a young person aged 6–12. You'll meet weekly for 1–2 hours, doing activities together — sport, cooking, homework, exploring, or just hanging out.
Minimum one-year commitment. Thorough screening includes identity verification, NZ Police criminal history check, three referee checks, and an in-depth interview. Four-hour training course provided, plus ongoing professional supervision by BBBS caseworkers.
Must be 18 or older. Affiliates operate in Auckland, Hamilton, Rotorua, Gisborne, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Manawatū, Wellington, Nelson, Christchurch, and Westland.
